Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH (RNV) has taken delivery of the first six new Variobahn trams to Heidelberg, the first commercial application of Bombardier's MITRAC energy-saving power systems.

MITRAC is developed and manufactured at Bombardier's Mannheim plant and claims energy savings of up to 30%.
